Date Day / Time Description June 6 Sundays, 9:45 am Children Discover Mysterias of God, K-5 Grade Children in our church and community will have an opportunity to recapture the wonder and awe and mystery of the Christian faith as we study Prince Caspian, book two in C.S. Lewi's Chronicles of Narnia. Follow the tracks to the "Train Station" on campus. Our study will also connect with family devotionals as you will hear about in the email and snail mail letters you will receive. We are also planning to listen to songs we will be learning that go with the Prince Caspian study. Learning Bible truths in a way to recapture our ancient faith can help make the summer exciting. June 6 Sundays, 9:45 am A New Sunday School Class for College Students will be held in Room 201/202 in the CE Building. Tyler Nance will lead an informal study on Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. Galactic Blast VBS Registration Form Vacation Bible School Sunday, July 25 - Friday, July 30 6:00-8:00 p.m. Back Creek Church invites all children to Galactic Blast: A Cosmic Adventure Praising God! Vacation Bible School. Board the starship Galactic Praise to see our awesome universe – and our awesome God – in a whole new way. T he fun begins with a registration drop-in event for 3’s through 5th graders on Sunday, July 25 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Our lift-off takes place beginning Monday (July 26) and we’ll touch down on Friday (July 30). The adventure runs from 6:00 – 8:00 nightly. Each galactic mission includes a Bible story in the Good News Galaxy; along with science activities at the Orbital Observatory; music at Moons & Tunes; art projects at Cosmic Crafts; games at Rocket Rec and a snack at the Astro Bistro. To be a part of all the excitement at Galactic Blast, call Mission Control Commander, Wendy Schaffner, at 704-455-3883. Here’s how you can help: Volunteer – we would love to have helpers of all ages – middle schoolers, parents, grandparents, ―"mature" adults…etc. Pray for our endeavour…that we will get enough adults to help (yes, that means you) and that the kids will enjoy learning about and experiencing God’s love for them. Please be on the lookout for our supply requests – they will be in the foyer of the sanctuary beginning in June. Registration Form August 15 Saturday International Student Garage Sale. Save your stuff. It's that time again for the International Stiudent Garage Sale at UNCC. Begin savig any items you have to donate (small furniture, kitchen items, bedding, etc). This outreach ministry allows us to meet and welcome the students at the sale and help them settle into their apartments. More information to follow soon! October 8-10 Friday - Sunday 12th annual Women's Retreat Ladies,plan to join us at the Springmaid Conference Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.  We have a great weekend planned with  Bible study, teaching, and a worship experience to enrich your mind, soul, and spirit.  We have lots of  fun-filled activities planned that include games, a skit, and something special on the beach!
