Community Groups are where we connect deeply with one another while connecting with God through the study of his Word. We learn together the relevance of Scripture for eternity and for every day life as we alternate studying through Bible books, life issues, and important doctrinal truths. Information, education, and application lead to real transformation in our lives, to which we are held accountable by our group members as we encourage and challenge one another. We form deep bonds of love and trust as we share life with one another, care for one another, serve alongside one another, and welcome others into our group. Community Groups are where we go deeper together. Different Community Groups meet at Back Creek Midweek (Wednesdays) and also in homes throughout the week.
Sunday School is on hiatus for the summer, except for our Felos Class, which meets in the Ralph Cochran Room on the second floor of the Family Life Center and studies the ARP Quarterly.
Women's Ministry at Back Creek Church seeks to encourage and equip women to become fully-formed disciples of Jesus Christ who are deeply connected with God, with one another, with our neighbors, and with the nations. We do this through gatherings for study, fellowship, and service. We also have an annual fall retreat. This fall the retreat is October 26-28, and the theme is "Hoping In God's Good Name" (Psalm 52:9). Our speaker will be Betsy Forbes, Director of Women's Ministry at First ARP Church - Gastonia, NC.
Men's Ministry at Back Creek seeks to connect men with God, one another, our families, our neighbors, and the nations. We serve in various areas of ministry together, and are seeking new ways to connect around God's Word as well. We host a Community Breakfast on Thanksgiving Day and have an annual retreat. In 2019, our retreat will be April 5-7 at Bonclarken Camp and Conference Center.
