Because we are sinful people in a broken world, we are disconnected from the one, true source of life: God. This has all kinds of implications for our relationships, our work, our eternity, and everything else – it’s why we struggle.

The hope we’ve found is that God has made a way to rescue us from our sin, reconcile us to himself and others, right every wrong, and restore creation: Jesus Christ. Through the life, death, resurrection, and reign of Jesus, God is making all things new – including us.

This is the transformative hope of the Gospel.

BACK CREEK CHURCH IS US, BUT IT'S NOT ABOUT US
At Back Creek, it’s all about Jesus.
So the church can’t just be another activity, it must be our identity. The church is not a logo, an event, a budget, or a building. It’s us: a people on mission with God.

Back Creek Church is where we fully engage in what God made us for: worship, discipleship, community, and service.
We aim to be with and like Jesus in this mission, giving ourselves away for the sake of others. It’s a privilege to serve, and we want do it with JOY (which reminds us: Jesus first, Others second, Yourself last).

It’s an honor to live in Charlotte. We long to share the love of Jesus with our neighbors, and to help make our neighborhood the best part of our city. We do this through outreach programs like our our Preschool and Upward Basketball; outreach events such as our VBS, Easter Egg Hunt, and Fall Festival; and hospitality extended to our neighbors through the church and in our own homes.
We also long to share Christ with the nations – there are so many who have never heard. We do this by supporting and participating in global missions.
